Skills

Two year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma

Proof of current membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)

A minimum of six (6) months recent experience working in an early learning centre or day care

Knowledge of Ministry of Education full-day kindergarten program

Ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner

Proven ability to follow directions, policies and procedures

Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality

Proven ability to deal with difficult situations

Experience planning and implementing age-appropriate programs

Basic computer skills

Strong organization and time management skills

Current CPR and First Aid Certification
