Kings is a leading provider of bulk fuel solutions, catering specifically to industrial clients in the segments of transportation, oil and gas, farming, and municipalities. Position Summary

The Fuel Advisor is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of fuel and tank clients in the Winnipeg MB region. This role focuses on account retention and guiding clients through tailored solutions. By combining industry knowledge with a proactive sales approach, the Fuel Advisor plays a key role in driving revenue, supporting Cenovus referral programs, and ensuring a seamless client experience in collaboration with internal teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
Account Coordinator and Client Retention
  • Manage a defined portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and service alignment.
  • Identify and implement solutions to recurring client concerns in collaboration with operations.
  • Track and report on client performance metrics, retention, and engagement.
Sales Pipeline and CRM Management
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot).
  • Track sales stages, follow-up tasks, and opportunity values to support forecasting.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales activity and pipeline health.
  • Flag stalled opportunities and collaborate with team members to move deals forward.
Product Knowledge and Client Education
  • Stay informed on fuel market trends, tank solutions, pricing structures, and Cenovus programs.
  • Guide clients through program eligibility, application processes, and ongoing requirements.
  • Conduct client education sessions on Kings Energy Group’s full product and service offering.
  • Act as a resource to answer technical questions or coordinate with operations for support.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and billing teams to ensure exceptional client experience.
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in preparing and reviewing tender responses and RFPs.
  • Provide client feedback to improve internal processes and service offerings.
  • Coordinate tank delivery timelines, sensor installations, and contract execution with internal teams.

Other duties may be assigned as required.

Physical Requirements

The Fuel Advisor will be expected to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, with occasional standing, walking, or travel required.

Travel Requirements

To start, monthly travel to Winnipeg and Edmonton to shadow existing team 6-8 days per month. This may reduce over time once comfortable with client, product etc.

Working Environment

This is an in office position 7am-4pm.

Communications

This role requires regular communication with internal stakeholders across operations, logistics, and marketing, as well as external communication with clients, prospects. Clear and timely communication is essential for issue resolution, and relationship management.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in marketing sales an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in energy, logistics, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience with client account management and solution-based sales
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms

A combination of education and experience may satisfy the requirements of the role.

Compensation
  • Base salary of $60-70,000 per year
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Bonus of up to 20% of base based on metrics
