A leading rehabilitation company is seeking a Foot Care Nurse in Oakville, ON, to conduct foot care assessments and provide necessary treatments. Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with a valid license in Ontario.
• Completion of specialized foot care training is essential.
• Experience in geriatric care is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot care assessments and consultations.
• Perform nail care, cutting, and filings.
• Prevent ingrown toenails and reduce corn and callus.

Skills

Registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Completion of an approved Advanced Foot Care Training Program

Ability to provide own foot care tools and supplies

Ability to follow best practices for infection control

Experience with seniors

Foot Care Nurse - Lifemark Seniors Wellness

Location: Oakville, ON
Frequency of Visits: Every 6-8 weeks
Caseload Details: Established caseload in long-term care of 50+ residents

In this role you will:

• Foot care assessments and consultations
• Nail care, cutting and filings
• Reduction of thick/fungal nail
• Ingrown toe nail prevention
• Be responsible for foot care assessments and consultations
• Aiding in the reduction of corn and callus
• Execute preventative screening and education
• Educate and administer Diabetic Foot Care
• Clean and sterilize all Foot Care Instruments

Qualifications:

• Be a registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Completion of an approved Advanced Foot Care Training Program
• Ability to provide own foot care tools and supplies
• Ability to follow best practices for inflectional control, organize work, and implement a plan of care
• Experience with seniors is an asset
