Job summary

Konstruct Digital is seeking a Frontend/Web Developer in Calgary to create high‑quality, responsive WordPress sites and grow with a hands‑on team. You’ll work on diverse North American projects, using WordPress, Divi 5, and a modern stack including Astro and Cloudflare Pages.

You’ll optimize performance, integrate SEO/analytics, and collaborate with content, PPC, and design experts in a hybrid environment. If you’re curious, detail‑driven, and ready to learn, join us.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of web development experience (we’re open to strong junior candidates).
• Experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Nice to have: Experience with Astro and Cloudflare Pages.
• Nice to have: Experience building on HubSpot, Squarespace, or Shopify.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AI development tools, MCPs, or modern AI‑assisted workflows.
• Nice to have: Elementor development experience
• Nice to have: Laravel development experience

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain WordPress CMS client websites (front‑end and back‑end)
• Work across platforms including HubSpot, Squarespace, Shopify, and others as projects require
• Use page builders (primarily Divi 5) to craft beautiful, responsive layouts
• Develop, configure, and implement plugins, themes, and other web applications
• Contribute to Astro/Cloudflare Pages projects as part of our evolving stack
• Optimize websites for performance - image optimization, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and tools like NitroPack
• Integrate SEO, analytics, and performance tracking
• Work with version control (Git/GitHub) as part of a collaborative team workflow
• Quality assurance, testing, and technical problem-solving

We’re looking for a Frontend/Web Developer to join our team - someone who’s excited to craft high-quality, responsive websites and grow alongside a team that’s always pushing forward.

Our dev team works across a modern and evolving stack. WordPress remains a big part of what we do, but we also work with Astro, Cloudflare Pages, and a range of platforms and tools depending on the project. The Job:

You have a solid foundation in web development and a genuine interest in growing your skills. You understand the current state of WordPress development - page builders, modern tooling, and where things are headed - and you’re comfortable picking up new platforms and workflows as needed.

You care about performance and the details that make a site not just look good, but load fast, rank well, and work great for real users. You communicate clearly, work well with a team, and bring a solution-oriented mindset to whatever lands on your plate.

Candidates are ideally located in the Calgary area.

Your Experience & Skills:

• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with WordPress CMS development - themes, plugins, customization, and troubleshooting
• Hands‑on experience with page builders, with Divi 5 being a strong asset
• Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub)
• Understanding of website performance optimization - image handling, Core Web Vitals, caching, and tools like NitroPack
• Knowledge of hosting and DNS fundamentals
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Organized, self‑motivated, and able to prioritize under pressure
• Strong attention to detail, solution‑oriented, and deadline‑focused

Your Qualifications:
