Job summary

Cambio is seeking a Frontend Engineer to craft our real estate decarbonization platform. You will build intuitive, responsive web applications using ReactJS, Next.js, and TypeScript, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate UI/UX designs into polished interfaces.

This hybrid role is based in North America with hubs in San Francisco, New York, and Waterloo. Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in web development and a passion for performance, accessibility, and solving

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, VueJS or similar frameworks.
• Solid CS fundamentals and algorithmic knowledge.
• Creative debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The role

As a Frontend Engineer at Cambio, you will play a critical role in crafting and implementing our software platform's user interface. Your mission will be to build intuitive, responsive, and performant web applications that bring our decarbonization platform to life. You will work closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to transform UI/UX designs and product requirements into polished, accessible interfaces. What you will be doing

• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers (when applicable) to execute on creating Technical Requirements, Design, and Test Plans for our web application.




• Develop maintainable software with a focus on gracefully handling all error conditions and crafting exceptional user experiences.




• Conduct thorough testing, including creating automated test suites, to ensure the software functions as intended.

Who you are

• Strong Web Development Background: 2-3+ years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in web development technologies such as ReactJS, VueJS or similar frameworks.




• Solution-Oriented Thinking: Ability to derive multiple solutions for a single problem and propose the best option.




• Technical Trade-offs and YAGNI: Understanding of the need for technical trade-offs and adherence to the \"You Aren't Gonna Need It\" principle.




• Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid grasp of computer science concepts and algorithmic fundamentals.




• Innovative Debugging Skills: Creative approach to debugging and problem-solving.

Logistics:

• Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required.




• Location: This will be a hybrid role, based out of any 3 of our North American hubs: San Francisco, New York and Waterloo.
