Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a seasoned Frontend Developer to build responsive UI with React and TypeScript in a hybrid Toronto setting. You will work on SPAs, API integration, and secure authentication mechanisms.

Responsibilities include deploying behind Nginx, implementing OAuth2/JWT/SSO, and maintaining code quality with Jest and Cypress in an Agile team. Prior banking or financial services exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in frontend development with strong TS/React expertise.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SPA architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and code quality tools.

FRONTEND DEVELOPER – REACT, TYPESCRIPT, NGINX, DEVOPS & SECURE APIS

TORONTO, ON - HYBRID (4 DAYS WFO)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• UI Development: Design and build responsive, reusable components using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Architecture: Maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs) with modern React patterns, Hooks, and Context API.
• Server & Deployment: Configure and troubleshoot applications behind Nginx reverse proxies, load balancers, and caching layers.
• Security & APIs: Integrate RESTful microservices and implement secure authentication via OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
• Quality Assurance: Write unit/integration tests (Jest, Cypress) and collaborate in Agile environments.

REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5+ years in frontend development with strong TypeScript/React expertise.
• DevOps/Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and SonarQube.
• Preferred: Next.js knowledge, cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure), and experience in financial services or banking.
