Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga is seeking a team member to support cashiering, merchandising and customer service in a locally owned store within the nationwide network. You will contribute to a positive shopping experience and help keep health, beauty and convenience services accessible to the community.

The role includes training staff, maintaining store standards, and assisting customers with product location, refunds or exchanges, while upholding loss prevention and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cashier/merchandising staff comply with store policies and operating procedures.
• Trains cashiers/merchandisers in job functions.
• Provides on-going guidance and instruction to staff.
• Ensures all loss prevention standards are implemented and manages cash office processes.
• Ensures store employees present proper image to the public per Uniform Policy.
• Answers inquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, etc.
• Resolves customer issues per guidelines (refunds, exchanges).
• Promotes CSI Survey.
• Keeps shelves clean and organized with proper rotation.
• Ensures displays are set up and taken down as directed by AFSM/FSM.
• Maintains housekeeping and store image, complies with health and safety requirements.
• May perform clerical and banking duties; supports loss prevention policies.

SUMMARY:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

HUMAN RESOURCES

• Ensures cashier/merchandising staff comply with all store policies and operating procedures
• Trains cashiers/merchandisers in job functions
• Provides on-going guidance and instruction

LOSS PREVENTION

• Ensures all loss prevention standards are implemented, manages daily cash office inventory and cashier tracking, tracking sheets, PC Optimum procedures

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Ensures store employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy
• Answers inquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, etc.
• Resolves customer issues according to established guidelines (refunds, exchanges, etc.)
• Promotes the CSI Survey

MERCHANDISING

• Ensures shelves are clean and organized with proper rotation
• Ensures product displays are set up and taken down as directed by the AFSM/FSM

GENERAL

• Ensures standards of housekeeping and store image are maintained
• Complies with all Health and Safety requirements
• May be asked to perform clerical and banking duties
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures and ensures they are executed in the store
• Perform other duties as required including Cashier duties when necessary
