Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Front Store Clerk to join our Humboldt, Saskatchewan team. Provide friendly customer service, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized front store.

Work 16 to 24 hours per week with flexible daytime shifts. You should be able to stand for long periods, multitask in a fast-paced retail environment, and maintain strong product knowledge. Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canada’s largest network of community pharmacies.

Qualifications

• Accurate cash handling and strong customer service skills.

• Clear, courteous communication and strong product knowledge.
• Experience in merchandising, retail, or cashiering is an asset.
• Mature, cooperative attitude with a professional appearance including name tag.
• Criminal Record Check required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide warm, friendly service and answer inquiries.
• Operate the cash register, stock shelves, tidy aisles, and support front-store tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize displays, including light janitorial duties.
• Follow policies on security, shoplifting, and lottery handling.
• Monitor cash levels and request pickups as needed.
• Develop product knowledge and stay informed about new items.
• Merchandise products using labels, rotation and facing techniques.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and reordering processes.
• Support seasonal displays and promotional setups.
• Handle difficult situations with tact and escalate as needed.
• Report feedback to the store manager and stay productive between customers.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Front Store Manager or Store Operator.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly customer service by greeting all customers and handling inquiries courteously
• Operate the cash register, stock shelves, tidy aisles, and support various front-store tasks
• Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including performing light janitorial duties and maintaining displays
• Follow store policies on security, shoplifting, and lottery ticket handling
• Monitor cash levels, anticipate change needs, and request pickups when necessary
• Develop strong product knowledge, stay informed about new items, and maintain awareness of store layout
• Merchandise products effectively using shelf labels, rotation, and facing techniques
• Manage allocated sections and notify buyers of out-of-stock items
• Assist in inventory maintenance and support reordering processes
• Support seasonal displays and promotional setups
• Handle difficult customer situations with tact and elevate complaints as needed
• Report customer feedback and concerns to the store manager
• Remain productive between customer interactions
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Front Store Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager

Schedule

• 16 to 24 hours per week (Part-time).
• The store operates Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Scheduled shifts will fall within these operating hours. Availability for daytime, weekday, and weekend shifts is required.
