Job Description
Providing engaging, sincere, personalized service is the hallmark of our Front Office Supervisors. You will lead, train, and recognize a team in support of exceptional guest service.
What you will be doing
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the Front Desk, Royal Service and Tours departments, ensuring all service standards are followed.
- Assist MODs with reports as required.
- Assist in the onboarding of new colleagues and provide initial and continuous training.
- Train, inspire, develop, and recognize Front Office colleagues.
- Ensure accurate billing is completed upon guest departure.
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful manner.
- Manage guest room assignments and blockings.
- Track Front Office supplies.
- Support company and hotel policies and procedures, including participation in Colleague Engagement Survey (CES), Fairmont Standards (LQA, VOG) initiatives.
- Promote enrollment in all enrollment goals.
- Be flexible with work schedules (weekends and holidays as required).
- Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs.
- Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department.
- Consistently uphold a professional and well‑groomed appearance in accordance with the company’s grooming policy.
Qualifications
- Strong guest service experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year proven guest services experience.
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset.
- Knowledge of Property Management System required.
- Experience with a hotel loyalty program is an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and guest requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Highly organized, results‑oriented, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; the hotel cannot assist with Canadian work authorization.
