Job summary

Sobeys is hiring a Front-End Supervisor in Sidney, BC to lead a department, coach staff, and ensure a high standard of customer service. The role focuses on staff development, engagement, and meeting company standards while maintaining an excellent shopping experience for customers.

You will supervise daily operations, analyze sales data, and ensure compliance with SOP, OH&S, and food safety initiatives. A high school diploma and 12 months’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months experience in department operations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop staff to deliver superior customer service.
• Supervise the department and act as go-to person when the manager is away.
• Foster customer loyalty and engage shoppers.
• Run and monitor sales data reports.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, OH&S and food safety initiatives.
• Recruit, train, and motivate employees; provide feedback to leadership.
