Job summary

Eataly Yorkville is seeking a Front End Sales Associate/Cashier in Toronto for a full-time role. You will handle payments, maintain accurate cash handling, and support store operations on the sales floor.

The position emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to cash policies; prior cash handling and e-commerce fulfillment experience are beneficial. Training will be provided and discount benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce grocery fulfillment is preferred.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills required.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collects cash, checks or card payments and provides change.
• Verifies cash bank accuracy at end of shift.
• Monitors price changes and applies discounts correctly.
• Verifies employee discounts, returns, exchanges and voids with supervisor.
• Restocks and tidies displays; assists teammates as needed.
• Performs other duties as required by the Front End Manager.

A Front End Sales Associate/Cashier handles payments and ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements. Reports to the Front End Manager.

Responsibilities

• Collects cash, checks or charge payments from guests and provides change and charge vouchers if appropriate
• Verifies accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks and charge payments at end of shift
• Obtains and reviews information regarding price changes
• Verifies employee discounts, returns, exchanges and voids with the assistance of the manager or shift lead
• Returns carts and baskets to their central distribution areas, takes back go-backs/damages, fixes displays, helps restock, and supports team members
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

  Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with e-commerce grocery fulfillment is preferred.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Basic knowledge of the functions of cash registers
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Smart Serve certification

  Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours
  • Ability to bend and stoop on occasion
  • Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate

  Compensation

  • Compensation for this role is CAD $17.60-$19.00 hourly
