Job summary

OLG is seeking a Front End Developer Student to work onsite in Sault Ste. Marie or Toronto for Winter 2027. The role focuses on designing and implementing user interfaces, with opportunities to work on React/Vue.js projects and RESTful APIs.

You will learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while contributing to real-world UI/UX work. As a student full-time position, you’ll experience agile development, code reviews, and cross-functional teamwork, gaining practical skills in front-end

Qualifications

• Interest in designing and developing user interfaces and SPAs.
• Understanding of coding and development concepts.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, React or Vue.js, and RESTful APIs.

Front End Developer Student

Location: Sault Ste. Marie or Toronto (Onsite)

Duration: Winter (January-April 2027)

Type: Student Full Time

Range: $18.50 - $28.50

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate about supporting a variety of design and development practices .

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Manager Digital Solution Development, you will be empowered to:

• Gather business requirements from lab team.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop user-facing features and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Execute unit tests to ensure consistency across devices and browsers.
• Identify potential solution risks/issues and communicate to relevant stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

• Sound interest in designing and developing user interfaces and Single Page Apps
• Understanding of coding/development
• Working knowledge of different programming languages and frameworks (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, React/Vue.js, RESTful API)
• Strong communication skills to support technology and operations partners
• The passion and eager to learn, and high attention to detail, strong time-management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a demanding environment.
• Work collaboratively within an agile environment
