Welcome to Stellar Code Lab, the new software innovation startup incubated inside Stellar Creative Lab. We are taking the battle-tested tools that powered hits for Marvel, Amazon, and Netflix and turning them into commercial-grade solutions for the entire industry.

We are building the future of animation tech—from Dart AI (bridging GenAI with production pipelines) to Zipline3D (streamlining CG workflows). Join us on the ground floor as we scale from "internal secret weapon" to "global industry standard."

The Opportunity: We are looking for a Front End Developer to build the "cockpit" for our Generative AI engine. While the backend does the heavy lifting, your interface is what the artists actually touch and feel every day.

You will lead the development of a high-performance React frontend that integrates directly into professional 3D workflows. Your mission is to translate complex AI processes into a clean, artist-centric experience that is stable, responsive, and easy to control.

Key Responsibilities (What you will own):

Core Application & DCC Integration

• Lead the development and visual polish of the React-based frontend that serves as the primary interface within 3D software (Maya, Blender etc.), and standalone environments.
• Optimize the performance of the React client to remain non-intrusive and responsive while embedded inside resource-intensive 3D applications.

Interactive Workflow & Real-Time Feedback

• Implement real-time asynchronous feedback loops, including progress bars, status indicators, and detailed error reporting for backend AI tasks.
• Build dynamic, user-friendly controls such as sliders and text areas that automatically adapt based on the specific ComfyUI workflow being utilized.
• Create a seamless "streaming upload" experience, providing visual confirmation as image sequences are moved from local DCCs to the backend.

Platform Architecture & Dashboard

• Develop the components for the web-based dashboard platform, allowing users to browse their generation history and manage users, subscriptions, and payments.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering to integrate secure login flows and organization-level access permissions.
• Develop and maintain a library of reusable UI components to ensure visual consistency across the entire software ecosystem.

Collaboration & Iteration

• Work with artists and the technical team to iterate on interface design based on real-world production feedback to maintain an artist-centric focus.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 4+ years in Front End Development building complex web applications.
• Expert proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience managing complex asynchronous states (Redux, Context API, or similar) for real-time feedback loops.
• Experience profiling and optimizing JS rendering (you know how to prevent memory leaks in long-running sessions).
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience writing tools or UIs for 3D software (Maya, Blender, Unreal).
• Experience handling streaming data or WebSocket connections for real-time progress updates.
• Experience building and maintaining a component library.
