Walmart Canada in Huntsville, ON is seeking a cashier to support transactions and provide exceptional customer service for a positive shopping experience. You will greet customers, process transactions, de-activate merchandise per the EAS program, and promote sponsor programs such as credit cards, product protection and charity initiatives.

You will assist with bagging and loading, keep a safe and clean work area, maintain cash register integrity, and guide customers to self-checkout options.

• Maintain register security through diligent cash handling and adherence to policies.
• Refer service items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educate customers on the correct use of self-checkout options.

What You'll Do

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.10.
