Job summary

Walmart Canada in Red Deer, AB is hiring a Front End Associate to greet customers, process purchases, and support a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will promote store programs, assist with bagging, ensure safety and proper cash handling, and coach customers on self-checkout options.

This on-site position starts at the minimum hourly rate of 16.15 CAD and provides opportunities for growth within the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, i.e. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
