Canada Post is seeking a customer-oriented Post Office Assistant to work at the front counter in community post offices within Grandchildren, Quebec. This term, on-call role involves selling postal products and services, processing mail, and assisting customers with inquiries.

You’ll help sort mail, respond to questions about postal services, and support delivery/service issues promptly and professionally. The position suits someone who enjoys helping people and staying flexible with an on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or provincial equivalent, or experience tied to business administration.
• Prior experience in retail, customer service, sales, or cash handling.
• Familiarity with general accounting systems, and/or post office accounting processes.
• Must be able to lift mail containers to about 50 lbs, sort mail, and stand for longer stretches.
• Flexibility for temporary, on call shifts.
• Ideally you live in the local area, or somewhere fairly close.

Responsibilities

• Offer postal products and services to customers, plus local businesses.
• Sort, handle, and route mail into the right categories.
• Give customers postal facts, relevant forms, and extra hands with their needs.
• Address delivery and service issues fast, and do it in a professional manner.
