Midland Transport is currently seeking a Freight Handler - Driver based out of our Bathurst Terminal, New Brunswick. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and "Can Do" attitude.

Shift
  • Sun - 12am to 10am
  • Tue - Fri 5am to 1pm

Responsibilities
  • Setting up the dock for efficient operations.
  • Safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight, both manually and using equipment.
  • Communicating with other Dock Workers to ensure safe and organized loading and unloading.
  • Maintaining a clean, functional dock and work area.
  • Operate Straight Truck/Tractor when required.
  • Scheduled activity based on daily shipment volumes and customer demand.
  • Drive, use equipment and work in accordance with the safety regulation and procedures, Traffic laws and company rules.
Qualifications
  • Education Required: Minimum High School Diploma.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse experience is required.
  • Proven forklift operation experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Class 3 driver's license is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Clean driving record & background check.
  • Strong commitment to working safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate positively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Proficient in reading and writing to complete required paperwork accurately.
  • Efficient, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high productivity.
  • Basic math and organizational skills are required.
  • Class 1 driver's license will be considered an asset.
