Job summary

Kimberley Freestyle is seeking a Head Coach to lead our Freestyle Ski Program in Kimberley, Canada. This leadership role drives athlete development, training program execution, competition preparation, and coaching team oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring strong freestyle expertise, a commitment to safe and inclusive sport, and the ability to inspire athletes of all ages to reach their potential. Collaboration with stakeholders ensures LTAD alignment and provincial standards.

Qualifications

• Coaching certification appropriate to Freestyle programs.
• Current SafeSport certification or ability to obtain before start.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience coaching youth or junior athletes in competitive sport.
• Ability to design and deliver skill-appropriate training plans.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver on-snow training aligned with LTAD.
• Provide individualized coaching, video analysis, feedback.
• Plan training with skills, conditioning, and mental prep.
• Ensure athlete safety and adapt to conditions.
• Track progress and maintain development records.
• Attend competitions for guidance and feedback.
• Plan participation in local, regional, provincial meets.
• Coordinate travel logistics with stakeholders.
• Analyze performance to inform improvements.
• Recruit and supervise assistant coaches.
• Conduct evaluations with the Board.
• Maintain eligibility and standards alignment.
• Prepare program updates and roster docs.
• Support event registration and reporting.
• Report maintenance and safety concerns promptly.
