This is a remote, contract position. All work is paid per piece.

Project Description

As a Video Editor, you’ll collaborate with our project team and on‑camera presenters to produce professional, TikTok‑ready videos that inform and inspire viewers.

  • Edit raw footage into 1‑3 minute videos optimized for TikTok.
  • Follow brand and style guidelines based on a provided rubric.
  • Source or create copyright‑safe visuals, music, and sound effects.
  • Add text overlays, motion graphics, and visual enhancements to keep content dynamic and engaging.
  • Collaborate with content producers to ensure the final video meets Study.com’s quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience editing social media videos (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or similar).
  • A strong portfolio or sample videos demonstrating editing skill and style.
  • Solid understanding of copyright‑safe sourcing and licensing.
  • Ability to work with both real media and AI‑generated assets.
  • Reliable turnaround: minimum of 2 videos per week, with up to 5‑ (24 hours for revisions).
  • Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm specific to TikTok audiences.
  • Access to and experience with advanced plugins or tools for eye contact correction, color balance, or generative visuals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or coursework in film, video production, or digital media.
  • Experience with Wistia, Smartsheet, or similar workflow tools.
  • Experience editing educational content for social media platforms.
  • Professional certification in social media video production or related fields.
