Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a quantitative validator to assess models supporting fraud detection and AML risk management. You will validate models, challenge development, and communicate risks to business partners to ensure transparency and governance.

With 1–3 years of relevant experience and a strong statistics background, you will contribute to model lifecycle oversight and risk controls within the Audit, Risk & Compliance group in Canada.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the model life cycle and model risk practices.
• Familiarity with risk policy frameworks and testing quality controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.

• Provide effective challenge during model development and governance.
• Communicate model risks and decisions to stakeholders with clarity.
