Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in leadership, management, business development, fundraising, or organizational growth.
  • Experience within the nonprofit sector, community services, healthcare, mental health, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building and partnership-development skills, with experience working with boards, funders, and community stakeholders.
  • Financial literacy and comfort with budgeting and organizational planning.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and move projects forward with limited oversight.
  • Collaborative and creative style that brings people together; entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Calgary's nonprofit, social service, or mental health landscape is a strong asset.
  • Strong commitment to equality, community growth and value of all people.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Clinical Director to set priorities, support strategic initiatives, identify opportunities to broaden impact, and champion the mission and values.
  • Fund Development: Identify and pursue funding opportunities, lead fundraising initiatives, grant development, donor engagement, and community events to build a sustainable funding pipeline.
  • Community Partnerships and Growth: Build relationships with community organizations, funders, and stakeholders; explore collaboration opportunities and sustain programs and partnerships.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee systems and processes, ensure efficient use of resources, assist with budgeting, risk management, and staff development; foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Governance & Growth: Support expansion of the organization through strategic planning and capacity-building initiatives.
