Job summary

SLA, an internationally recognized nature-based landscape design and urbanism studio, is establishing its Toronto office. A Licensed Landscape Architect will lead projects from concept to construction, mentor teams, and help expand SLA’s presence across Canada.

As part of the founding Toronto team, you’ll partner with the Design Principal and studio managers, travel domestically, and shape SLA’s long-term design agenda while delivering climate-friendly, landscape-led urban projects.

Qualifications

• Licenced landscape architect with strong leadership ability.
• Experience leading landscape-led urban design projects.
• Knowledge of Canadian planning frameworks and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead project leadership for landscape-led urban projects from concept through construction.
• Mentor and manage design teams and junior designers.
• Collaborate with international design teams and stakeholders to shape Canada presence.
• Travel domestically as needed.
