Job description

Tracktile is the AI operating system for food and beverage processors. Most processors still run inventory in spreadsheets, production in another system, and traceability and compliance records across paperwork and shared drives. We replace that with one platform: real-time inventory, production tracking, full traceability, compliance records, and AI-powered production planning, from ingredients arriving to finished product leaving the plant.

On top of our system of record, we have Agent Workflows throughout the operation; this helps these lean manufacturing teams focus on high-value work instead of back/front office administrative work.

We serve 80 manufacturing plants across 4 countries: seafood, potato, meat, dairy, beverage and value-added producers, with a growing base of supplement and consumer product manufacturing. We are based at The Foundry in Charlottetown, PEI, but have a remote distributed team across Canada.

Why this role exists

Marketing at Tracktile works, and it has been founder-led. Paid and organic video bring in buyers. What we don't have is an owner: one person who turns what we hear from the market into positioning, messaging, creative and campaigns, and who is accountable for qualified buyers showing up.

You will own the function and build it from a solid foundation, not from zero. The CEO stays close: on camera, in the market, and in the weekly work with you.

What you own

You are Accountable and Responsible for each of these. The CEO supports; you decide and you deliver.

1. Positioning and messaging.

How Tracktile and each module (core platform, AI Production Planning, MEP, Inbox, ACT, Studio) is described, including how we win against horizontal manufacturing ERPs. The website, decks, campaigns and sales materials stay aligned to one framework you maintain.

2. The content and creative pipeline.

End to end: what we say, in what format, on what channel, how often. You write the scripts, plan and direct founder video. You run the signals-to-content engine (we’ve built an in-house marketing engine) as one input among several, and you build and improve the AI workflows behind it.

3. Events, webinars and roundtables.

Which ones matter, how we show up, what they produce.Ensure we show up with the right position at trade shows, booths, and organize/run them with the help of the sales team.

4. Customer proof.

Case studies, customer stories, plant-floor video and proof points, kept current and matched to each stage of the funnel and each segment.

5. Product marketing and launches.

Every new feature and module ships with positioning, a campaign, and enablement for sales and CS.

6. Outbound and ABM support.

Ensuring that messaging aligns with our strategic outbound, so every outbound conversation lands with the right story and is consistent.

7. Measurement.

The marketing scorecard below and the attribution model in our CRM, so every dollar and every piece of creative traces to MQLs, demos and pipeline.

How you are measured

Everything in this role is anchored in value to the market, and value to the market shows up as pipeline. Content volume, follower counts and brand awareness are inputs, not results. You own these numbers and we review them weekly:

What success looks like

Within your first 90 days:

  • Tracktile has a clear and differentiated market position
  • Inbound awareness and website traffic have materially increased (tied to pipeline)
  • A repeatable content engine and distribution system are running
  • Marketing operations and reporting are automated and data-driven
Who you are
  • 3+ years in B2B SaaS marketing. Bonus if it includes at least one stretch at a seed to Series A company where you were most or all of the department
  • You have owned positioning and messaging, not just executed against someone else's
  • You have marketed to operations-heavy buyers (manufacturing, processing, supply chain, food, logistics, field service) and can talk to a plant manager without flinching
  • Strong writer. A script, a landing page, a launch email and a sales one-pager, and they sound like one company
  • Organizing and owning a trade event booth doesn't scare you!
  • Comfortable on camera and behind it: you have produced founder-led or short-form video and know what performs
  • You read attribution and funnel data and change plans because of it, and you can hold a paid media agency to account on the numbers without buying the media yourself
  • You have owned a pipeline number before, not just a content calendar
  • You build with AI tools to automate research, drafting, enrichment and reporting. This is a requirement, not a bonus: the content engine is part of the job
  • Bonus: HubSpot admin experience; experience with ABM in a founder-led sales environment; event or webinar programs you have run end to end
What this role is not
  • Not a media buyer.
  • Not a brand-first role. Positioning matters; awareness for its own sake does not. You will not be judged on followers or traffic.
  • Not a junior content producer. You direct the work and do plenty of it, but the job is the system, not the volume.
  • Not a solo act. The founder is supporting you throughout. Right hand to the Founder/CEO.
Build a Category

Help define how food and beverage producers understand and adopt AI-powered manufacturing software. Build a brand around a system that connects inventory, production, traceability, compliance records, and planning in one system.

Be a Founding Team Member

You will be the first marketing hire. Your work will directly shape the company's growth strategy, brand, and market position.

Work on Meaningful Problems

The software you help bring to market supports food and beverage producers in managing production, maintaining traceability, and improving visibility across their operations.

Learn Faster

You'll work directly with the CEO and sales leaders. There is no bureaucracy, no layers of management, and no waiting for permission.

Own Outcomes

This role comes with real responsibility, real autonomy, and meaningful equity participation.

Compensation and details
  • Equity participation
  • Remote in Canada, with quarterly in-person weeks at The Foundry in Charlottetown and travel for trade shows. Atlantic Canada preferred, not required
  • Full-time. Reports to the CEO

If you're excited about building a category, creating pull demand from zero, and helping define the future of AI-powered food and beverage manufacturing, we'd like to hear from you.

The companies behind your favourite foods and drinks will run on Tracktile. We make them faster, more profitable, and ready to grow.
