JOB OVERVIEW

Owens Corning is looking for interested candidates to join our Operations team full‑time in the role of Forming Operator. Successful candidates will be trained to operate equipment to form glass fibre products sold to customers around the globe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant
  • Glass forming fundamentals related to the management of fiber creation process
  • Process adjustment/control strategy to maintain quality standards
  • Operation and knowledge of Quality Control Systems
  • Interpretation and application of Statistical Process Control
  • Equipment restoration, inspection and lubrication to drive process reliability
  • Troubleshooting process upset conditions
  • Pallet building and packaging requirements
  • Forklift and Walkie operation supporting overall warehouse product management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • 1-3 years manufacturing/industrial experience preferred
  • Participation and successful completion of workplace skills assessment
  • Able to work a rotating 12-hour day/night shift (Includes weekends and holidays) - 3 on 3 off
