Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in New Brunswick is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate a forklift and related equipment to move, locate, stack and count merchandise. The role may also include Order Filler and Checker duties as required.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of forklift experience, basic math skills, ability to read orders, complete pre-shift inspections, and to obtain/maintain a valid forklift license through Scotts exams.

Qualifications

• Preferred education level is a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift.
• Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing.
• Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products.
• Must be able to complete the pre-shift inspection forms.
• Must be able to pass the Scotts forklift exams and obtain and maintain a valid operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Yard cleanup
• Pile covering
• Load preparation
• Loading of product onto dry vans, containers and flatbed trailers
• Unloading of packaging and pallets
