Job summary

Pure Flavor is seeking a Forklift Operator in the Shipping/Receiving department to safely operate forklifts and hand trucks to load, unload and move product and packaging. The role supports the supply chain through accurate handling and documentation of shipments, and requires adherence to FIFO, GMP and health and safety policies.

Daily responsibilities include staging, counting, and moving shipments, verifying incoming contents, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Operate forklift to load, unload and move shipments.
• Verify incoming shipments against records and rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Maintain safe work area and comply with GMP, Food Safety and Health & Safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and hand truck to stage, count, sort, wrap and move shipments.
• Examine incoming shipments and verify accuracy; rotate and organize inventory FIFO.
• Inspect outbound shipments and load onto trucks for delivery to customer.
• Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor about quality issues, damages, shortages.
• Maintain a clean work area and remove pallets and waste.
• Daily inspection of equipment and report damages.
• Follow SOPs and company policies; ensure standards met.
• Other duties as defined by the company.

Job Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operating and managing of industrial equipment to load, unload and move product and packaging, from storage areas, machines and loading docks. The role will support the supply chain through the unloading and loading of all trucks for incoming and outbound product and packaging material, accurately count and document shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklift or other hand truck activities, to stage, count, sort, wrap finished product and move shipments of product and packaging material
• Examine incoming shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment; place shipment to designated location; rotate and organize inventory per company procedures, using FIFO method
• Inspect and load outbound shipments; check contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment, place shipment on designated truck for delivery to customer
• Communicate frequently with Warehouse Supervisor, report quality issues, damage, shortages of product or packaging
• Maintain a clean work area; remove empty and damage pallets, wood, and plastic
• Daily inspection of assigned forklift or other material handling equipment; report damages or mechanical issues to personnel with authority
• Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.
