Ryder System, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Forklift Driver/Material Handler for days shift.

Under supervision of Logistics Supervisor you will perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. The role offers full-time employment in Caledon, Ontario, with Monday to Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm shifts and a starting wage of $20.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy in picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during production shifts.

Summary

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

Wage: $20.25 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, perm

Location: Caledon, ON

Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Essential Functions

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks

• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

Additional Responsibilities

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.

• Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
