Job summary

Friendsofkerhonkson seeks a Material Handler to apply metal to customer orders and process materials per work orders using advanced machinery. You will set up and operate cranes and forklifts, inspect products, and maintain a safe, clean workspace while recording measurements and production data.

The role requires basic math, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Training will cover lean and quality initiatives and safe handling practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing; record measurements.
• Balance workload and assist team; maintain clean, safe work area.
• Enter/delete material tags per written instructions; complete production logs.
