Job summary

A logistics organization in Prince Rupert is seeking Forklift Operators/Baging Plant Operators with experience in forklift operation. The role includes connecting hoses, managing a vacuum system, and performing quality checks on packaging. Responsibilities

  • Connect hoses to railcars.
  • Start / stop vacuum system and set vacuum pressure.
  • Disconnect hoses once hoppers are empty.
  • Check bags for proper sealing at welded seams.
  • Keep all packaging supplies stocked inside the dome.
  • Refill supplies on the line as needed.
  • Reset and program machines during product changes.
  • Load pallets into container and perform final quality check.

Work schedule : Day shift (5 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm) or Night shift (5 : 30 pm to 5 : 30 am).

Salary for the day shift is 26.91$ / hr and, salary for the night shift is 27.91$ / hr.

Duties :
  • Connect hoses to railcars
  • Start / stop vacuum system as needed and set the vacuum pressure accordingly
  • Disconnect hoses once hoppers are empty, clean any spills that occur immediately
  • Check bags as they come off bagger to ensure proper sealing at welded seams
  • Keep all packaging supplies stocked inside the dome
  • Refill supplies on the line as needed when running production
  • Reset and program machines during product changes or as needed to maintain optimal pallet format
  • Load pallets into container once completed on the line, do a final quality inspection check
