Job summary

Irving Woodlands in Northern New Brunswick invites students pursuing forestry to join our Summer 2027 program. You will work with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop practical skills that prepare you for a career in forestry.

The term runs May to August 2027 across multiple NB locations; you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to safety and environmental stewardship, with opportunities for future co-op, summer employment, and potential

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university forestry program.
• Must meet the company's selection criteria and be eligible to work in Canada.
• Interest in fieldwork and field data collection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to meet production goals.
• Monitor productivity and conduct quality observations in the field.
• Support harvesting, transportation, and road activities while documenting data.
• Assist with data collection and analysis for operational decisions.

Salary Range

• $23.92 to $26.12 per hour

Responsibilities

You will work closely with our operational teams and contractors to support our safety, quality, and productivity objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with contractors and operations teams to support production goals
• Conduct observations and follow-ups to monitor productivity and operational quality
• Monitor daily harvesting, transportation, road construction, and road maintenance activities
• Participate in forestry quality assessments
• Assist with the collection and analysis of operational data
• Complete various administrative and operational follow-up activities
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

You are currently enrolled in a college or university program in:

• Forestry
• Forest Engineering
• Forestry Technology
• Forestry Technician Program

• Experience in the forestry industry is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver's license
