Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company of Canada, Limited is seeking a Foreperson to lead a crew across multiple job sites in Bracebridge, Ontario. You will mentor team members, ensure safe, timely execution and deliver exceptional client service as the primary contact for customers.

Responsibilities include directing operations, equipment use, and pruning/removal tasks, while upholding safety standards and company policies. On-site role with full-time hours and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as an arborist.
• ISA certification or enrollment in arboriculture program or equivalent.
• Valid provincial driver’s license; 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to safely direct a team in canopy work at all heights.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.

• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Provide expert tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
• Manage customer service expectations.
• Maintain Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.

Position Overview

As a Foreperson you will lead a team to various job sites throughout the week, ensuring the job is done right, on time and safely. You will be a subject matter expert providing guidance to the team and acting as a mentor for newer team members, assisting them in developing a better understanding of the Arboriculture profession. You will also work to provide an exceptional customer experience as the main point of contact for our clients.

Additional Information

• Full time. Year-round employment.
• $25-$35/hour. Wage will be determined based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications or certifications. Certified arborists may be paid outside the pay range indicated.
