Job summary

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP - Sciences seeks a Fire Investigator/Electrical Engineer in Vancouver, BC, full-time. Compensation ranges from CAD 115,700 to CAD 160,600 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum CFEI, CFI or CVFI certification or ability to become certified.
• Strong background in fire investigation or equivalent experience.
• P.Eng. designation in Electrical Engineering or EIT with progress toward licensure.
• Solid understanding of the Fire Code.
• Experience in electrical forensic failure analysis and product design defects.
• Experience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience in insurance and legal industries.
• Proven track record delivering projects to completion.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Willingness to support marketing and attend industry events.
• Ability to discuss budgets with clients and maintain communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze and research origins of fires involving electrical components.
• Interview witnesses, service personnel and officials.
• Inspect fires damaged structures including roofs, attics and crawlspaces.
• Lead projects from start to finish and provide timely reports.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and communicate findings clearly.
