Education and Experience
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Experience: 3 to less than 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Schedule work.
- Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work.
- Maintain work records and logs.
- Read blueprints and drawings.
- Utilize hand and power tools.
- Monitor progress of delivery schedules.
- Monitor quality and production levels.
- Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
- Co‑ordinate, assign and review work.
- Liaise with management, engineers and other trades.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, calibrate and test equipment.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Document customers' requirements for projects.
Support and Inclusion
- Supports newcomers or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
