The Senior Electrical Engineer/Technologist is a key member of the Electrical Engineering team at Saltworks.
You will work closely with the Director of Electrical Engineering, senior engineers across various teams, and the production team to design and build our advanced systems.
You will have ample learning opportunities in electrical design, equipment sourcing and selection, and commissioning our plants on customer sites.
A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of common industrial electrical hardware components and are comfortable navigating the catalog of major manufacturers for parts such as enclosures, disconnects, circuit breakers, distribution blocks, fuse holders, fuses, cables, motor contactors, overloads, terminal blocks, etc.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, schedules, and cable pull sheets.
Basic knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and its application.
The ability to produce electrical schematics in EPLAN and/or AutoCAD Electrical (considered an asset).
