Role Description

Sky-Tech Construction Ltd. is seeking an experienced Telecommunication Foreman / Forewoman to assist in the installation, inspection, repair, and servicing of telecommunication towers. This is an on‑site position that requires frequent travel and extended periods working away from home across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and other Western Canadian regions.

The Foreman is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring all tower work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Working Conditions
  • Must be available to work shifts away from home on various work cycles, including overtime
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions, involving physical work
  • Frequent work at heights
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead construction and rigging crews
  • Ensure project timelines and milestones are met
  • Maintain high‑quality workmanship and adherence to specifications
  • Understand and abide by Sky-Tech’s Health and Safety Program
  • Follow all CSA Standards and applicable OH&S regulations
  • Oversee daily site operations and resource allocation
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of direct telecommunications Construction & Installation experience
  • Strong understanding of tower erection principles, antenna systems, and transmission line installation
  • Competent in operating all Antenna and Cabling test equipment
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage construction teams
  • Proficiency in general construction tasks and equipment use
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and read IFC drawings, blueprints, and mark‑ups
  • Knowledge of workplace safety legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Ability to effectively lead a rigging team to complete tasks safely and successfully
  • Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract
