Overview: We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor who is at team player with excellent oral communication and ability to supervise 3-4 employees. Job involves working on shift and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, walking and physically demanding

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports as required.

· Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Check assembly of tray.

· Ensure high quality of customer satisfaction is maintained. Work with management and address customers ‘complaints or concerns as they arise.

· Hire food service staff, establish methods to meet work schedules, train staff in job duties

· Follow sanitation and safety procedures, prepare budget and cost estimates

Qualifications and Experience:

2 – 3 years experience as a Food Service Supervisor
Supervise 3-4 employees
Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and compliance procedures. Food Handler Certificate is required.
Able to stand for prolonged periods and working in a fast-paced settings.
Strong communication skills
Education

· Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline is preferred.

Food Handler Certificate is required.

Wages: $17.50 per hour; 30-hour work week; overtime rate of $26.25 per hour after 44 hours per week
Benefits: 10 days annual vacation
Duration: Permanent, full time, year-round position
