Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Food Service Assistant in the Nutrition Services department to support patient meals, tray delivery, and general kitchen operations. The role involves shifts across days/evenings, including weekends and statutory holidays, with CUPE union affiliation.

Ideal candidates will have Grade 12 or equivalent, current Food Handlers Training, and strong communication and service skills to ensure safe, nutritious meals for patients.

• Performs patient meal tray delivery.
• Performs pot washing, equipment and departmental cleaning and sanitary procedures.
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis, including be able to stand for long periods of time and lift moderate weight; push/pull lowerators and cart

Position Summary

The Nutrition Services Department is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Food Service Assistant to join their team.

Essential Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Current Food Handlers Training & Certification and must maintain certification
• Ability to operate cash register, count money and make change accurately

Hours of Work

Must be available to work eight (8) and four (4) hour shifts (days/evenings), including weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays, Monday to Sunday. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
