Job summary

A local volunteer organization is seeking Food Delivery Volunteers to assist seniors by delivering Food Bank Hampers or Grocery Supplies. Volunteers will coordinate delivery details, ensure confidentiality, and adhere to safe driving practices. The position requires a genuine interest in assisting seniors, access to a vehicle, and a commitment of approximately one hour per week. Training and checks will be provided.

Qualifications

• Access to own vehicle required for the role.
• Completion of a volunteer application form needed.
• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks from the RNC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff regarding delivery details.
• Wear a mask while delivering food hampers.
• Report problems to Volunteer Coordinator.
• Maintain client confidentiality.

Job description

Connections for Seniors is recruiting Food Delivery Volunteers to help deliver Food Bank Hampers or Grocery Supplies to seniors in the community.

Time commitment: approximately one hour per week

Locations: St. John’s and surrounding areas including Kilbride, Goulds, Mount Pearl, Paradise, CBS, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff regarding the delivery details.
• Wear a cloth/non-medical mask while delivering food hamper.
• Report any problems or concerns to Volunteer Coordinator.
• Inform Volunteer Coordinator if you need to change or cancel volunteer assignment.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Follow safe driving procedures.
• Adhere to CFS general responsibilities.

Additional requirements
