Job Description for Food Counter Attendant

Experience: Will train

Work Setting

• Urban area

Tasks

1. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
2. Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
3. Load buspans and trays
4. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
5. Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas
6. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
7. Scour pots and pans
8. Keep records of the quantities of food used
9. Package take-out food
10. Portion and wrap foods
11. Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
12. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
13. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
14. Take customers' orders
15. Use manual and electrical appliances to prepare food
16. Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
17. Handle and store cleaning products safely
18. Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and storage areas
19. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
20. Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
21. Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
