Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a premier year-round resort offering exceptional outdoor adventures for guests and colleagues. Jasper is a haven for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, surrounded by the Canadian Rockies and landscapes.

Job Description: Reporting to the Director, Food and Beverage, this position is responsible for supporting the mission to Turn Moments into Memories. The F&B Training Manager will oversee all F&B training and development and ensure that learning activities support the Accor philosophy of recognizing talent and valuing contribution.

  • Assess each department’s training & development programs and provide feedback to align with F&B goals and the hotel’s vision.
  • Conduct various training courses for restaurants (e.g., Suggestive Selling, Product Training, Service Standards).
  • Maintain a database of proserve for all of the F&B division.
  • Actively participate in all Food & Beverage recruitment initiatives.
  • Keep staffing forecasting up to date in accordance with budget and Watson standards.
  • Develop standardized interview questions for each role within the division.
  • Participate in recruitment meetings to ensure accurate information is communicated.
  • Coordinate the actions of Food & Beverage leaders and teams in the Talent Journey (Recruitment & Selection, Induction & Onboarding, Performance Management & Feedback, Learning & Development, Talent Potential Identification, Career Management, Culture Diversity & Inclusion, Policies & Procedures, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Satisfaction & Engagement) to provide business support through collaboration and coaching.
  • Conduct annual training and development needs assessment.
  • Develop training and development programs and objectives.
  • Focus on training and auditing LQA standards with leaders and colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain division communications (internal bulletin boards and emails) to inform colleagues about training and development events and resources.
  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Other job related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Three years’ experience in hotel Food and Beverage operation – luxury property preferred.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and handle assignments in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when working with management, hourly associates, and external contacts while under pressure and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
