A leading manufacturing company in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a technician to perform technical and administrative duties, including chemical addition and equipment maintenance. Candidates must have a high school diploma and two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• May be required to obtain certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Participate in addition of chemicals as directed by site staff.
• Inspect, monitor and maintain coolant filters, washers, and paint systems.
• Report and interpret all results and usage on a daily basis.
• Maintain and calibrate all laboratory equipment.
• Interact with customer’s production and technical personnel.
• May be responsible to run the plant Waste Water treatment facility.

Skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Basic mathematical skills

Ability to solve practical problems

Basic working knowledge of Internet software, e-mail, word processing

Education

High school diploma or GED
