Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil, Quebec, seeks a Flight Test & Instrumentation Specialist to plan, install, calibrate and operate airborne data acquisition systems for flight-test campaigns. You will design harnesses, write work instructions, monitor data quality and participate in pre/post-flight briefings with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical college with 5 years in instrumentation.
• Knowledge of instrumentation types, sensors, signal conditioning, electronics, and calibration procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute all instrumentation activities for flight test milestones.
• Design, install, calibrate, configure, operate and maintain airborne data acquisition systems.
• Produce drawings for harnesses and wiring.
• Write work instructions for installation/removal of onboard instrumentation.
• Condition, monitor and record data in flight and on the ground.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and ensure data quality.
• Participate in pre/post-flight briefings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• May travel occasionally for business.
