Job summary

Intellectt Inc is seeking an experienced Flight Control Systems IPT Head to lead FCS development and integration for advanced aircraft and eVTOL programs. You will own scope, schedule, cost, quality and technical delivery.

Responsibilities include defining FCS architecture (fly-by-wire/fly-by-light, actuators, sensors), leading control law development, coordinating with Avionics, Software, Systems, Aerodynamics, and leading testing and certification activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Control Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience in flight control systems, aircraft systems, control laws, systems integration, and aerospace certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Flight Control Systems IPT and own scope, schedule, cost, quality, and technical delivery.
• Define FCS architecture including fly-by-wire/fly-by-light, actuation, sensors, and interfaces.
• Lead control law development, flight dynamics, stability & control analysis, gain scheduling, and redundancy management.
• Coordinate with Avionics, Software, Systems, Aerodynamics, Structures, Integration, and V&V teams.
• Lead MIL, SIL, HIL, Iron Bird, ground, and flight testing.
• Manage requirements, SRD, ICDs, simulation models, and certification deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
• Drive FHA, FMEA, FTA, fault-tolerant, fail-safe, and redundant FCS architectures.
• Support FAA/EASA certification, technical reviews, RFQs, proposals, and stakeholder management.
• Lead distributed onsite/offshore engineering teams and manage technical risks and dependencies.
