Job summary

Air Canada is seeking Flight Attendants to represent Canada to the world. You’ll greet customers with warmth, provide an elevated inflight experience, and act as a face of Canada on every flight.

The role requires flexibility to relocate to bases in Vancouver, Toronto or Calgary and to complete extensive training across major cities. Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school education, and bilingual English/French proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Canadian passport allowing travel to all Air Canada destinations.
  • Willingness to relocate to Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.
  • Mandatory 8-week full-time training in Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver (at a lower rate).
  • Punctuality and dependability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work 24/7 shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Criminal background check for Transport Canada clearance.
  • Medical evaluation including drug and alcohol testing; free of intoxicating substances.

Responsibilities

Key Duties.

Qualifications.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Canadian passport that allows travel to all countries served by Air Canada.
  • Willingness to relocate to one of our In-Flight bases: Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.
  • Mandatory 8-week full-time training in Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver (at a lower rate).
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Criminal background check —to ensure you have the security clearance required by Transport Canada, we will undertake a criminal background check on all candidates.
  • Medical standards —Flight Attendants conduct safety-critical work and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances.
Language Skills.
  • As Canada's flag carrier, we're proud to offer bilingual services. Candidates who speak both English and French fluently are preferred.
  • As Canada's leading international airline, preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in French, Greek, Japanese, and Mandarin.

Salary: $34.63/hour as a certified Flight Attendant. A reduced rate applies during initial training.
