Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Saskatoon is seeking a Patient Access Representative at Arbor Creek Medical Pavilion. This role involves greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and coordinating appointments in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Verifies patient information and collects forms; updates demographics and insurance in system.
• Maintains appointment scheduling and no-show procedures; makes reminder calls.
• Answers telephone promptly and routes calls to staff.
• Collects patient co-pay and outstanding balances.
• Prepares office batches and balances daily payments.
• Acts as liaison between patient and medical staff; communicates with insurance.
• Schedules future appointments and checks out patients.
• Keeps front desk and waiting area clean and orderly.
• Enters patient clinical information in EMR for assigned tasks.
• Participates in the Patient-Centered Medical Home team.
• Performs professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the unit.
• Other duties as required.
