Job summary

CBI Home Health in Winnipeg seeks a Health Care Aide to support clients at home, providing personal care and light exercises while promoting safety and independence. You will document changes and coordinate with the supervisor to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work in all areas of Winnipeg.
• Must have daytime availability starting as early as 7:00am.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR level C.
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months.
• Clear Adult and Child Abuse Registry checks completed within the last 6 months.
• Valid Class 5 MB Driver’s License.
• Access to a reliable vehicle that you will bring to work each day.
• Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record.
• Ability to travel from home to home within the community - Valid Driver's license and insurance required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate in other languages an asset.
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in their homes and may assist with light exercises.
• Observe, document, and report changes in client condition to your Manager/Supervisor.
• May perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.
