Job summary

Sorenson Communications, LLC is expanding our Interpreter team across Canada and the US. We offer part-time and full-time positions with flexible scheduling and opportunities for premium shifts to boost hourly wages.

Interpreters provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services, maintaining compliance with licensure and Sorenson policies. Effective candidates will interpret between ASL and spoken English, possess required certifications, and commit to ongoing education and certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification required by local regulations.
• 3 years interpreting experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Effectively interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and/or certification requirements.
• Comply with Sorenson standards and FCC regulations.
• Complete tasks and paperwork promptly within guidelines.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet VRS demands.
• Learn and implement new technologies quickly.
• Work in a team and support colleagues.
• Operate in an overseen environment with monitoring and evaluations.
• Engage in ongoing skills development.
