Varsity Tutors is seeking an Elementary Social Studies tutor to join our Live Learning Platform. You will tutor students nationwide online, set your own hours, and earn competitive pay up to $40/hour from home.

As part of our platform, you’ll explain communities, maps, civics, and timelines to elementary students using engaging activities. Tutor Copilot supports sessions, while payments are handled by us.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of elementary social studies concepts including community, geography, civics, and culture.
• Ability to explain communities, neighborhoods, timelines, landforms and civic responsibility at age-appropriate level.
• Familiar with elementary social studies standards for grades 1–5 and common challenges.
• Ability to tailor instruction to individual learning styles using engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to elementary students via the Live Learning Platform.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available and online.
• Leverage Tutor Copilot tools to enhance sessions and save prep time.
