Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma with post-secondary training; five years related experience or equivalent
• Mechanical and technical knowledge of heavy equipment; ability to procure and supply parts for inventory
• Knowledge of government purchasing policies, warehousing, and inventory control is an asset
• Strong communication, planning and organizational skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services for the Shubenacadie fleet operation
• Determine stock requirements and initiate requisitions to replenish inventory
• Coordinate equipment purchases, disposals and parts records
• Collaborate with Fleet Coordinator on value procurement strategies and budget control
