Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking an experienced Class 1 Flat Deck Super B driver to perform pick-ups and deliveries primarily in the Saskatoon area. You will be home nightly with occasional overnight trips, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of cargo while securing and tarping loads per industry standards.

Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, accurate electronic logs, and clear communication with dispatchers and customers.

Qualifications

• Class 1 License is required.
• At least 2 years of flat deck Super B experience.
• Load securement experience is required.
• Tarping experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of electronic logbooks.

Responsibilities

• Performing flat deck super B pick-ups and deliveries primarily in the Saskatoon area.
• Home nightly with an occasional overnight trip.
• Ensuring safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
• Properly securing and tarping loads according to industry standards and regulations.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintaining accurate electronic logs and documentation, adhering to all transportation laws and company policies.
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Planning optimal routes and managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
• Handling loading and unloading of cargo when required, maintaining a clean and organized truck cabin and flat deck.
• Adapting to changing weather conditions and road situations, demonstrating flexibility in work schedule.
• Participating in ongoing safety training and professional development programs.
